Q&A with Sophie Eastwood, Managing Director of Holistic Insight and Holistic

Sophie Eastwood shares why UKREiiF is a must-attend event in the industry calendar. From gaining industry insights, through to the power of building connections, and amplifying rising stars - Sophie shares her thoughts on what makes the event so valuable, and how to make the most of it.

Q: Why is it important for you to be at UKREiiF 2025?

As built environment PR, communications and research specialists, it’s vital that we stay informed about the latest industry updates and insights. By attending events like UKREiiF, we can keep our industry knowledge sharp and be part of the real-time conversations that shape how we support our clients.

We’re also proud to be involved in a professional capacity with Holistic Insight as the official research partner for UKREiiF, helping to uncover and share market sentiment from the event.

As Director of YEP (You and Everyone in Property), I am also looking forward to speaking more about our work as a platform for future leaders and colleagues from across the industry.

Q: What themes or conversations at UKREiiF 2025 are most relevant to the work Holistic and Holistic Insight are doing right now?

The event brings together an expansive mix of industry professionals and political figures – as a result there is a breadth of topics covered, which is hugely valuable to us because we work across such a broad client base.

Right now, our clients are particularly tuned into conversations around how the political landscape is impacting the built environment, sustainability, building safety and more. We stand to gain a lot of insight and understanding from being present at panels and networking on the ground.

Q: What are you hoping to bring back from Leeds?

Insight, inspiration, and strengthened connections.

I’ve built up a network over 20 years, but what’s exciting about UKREiiF is that you never stop meeting new people from different regions, different disciplines, and increasingly, different countries. It’s a fantastic space for learning, too. The panels and fringe events offer so much food for thought, and often spark new ways of thinking, which we bring back to our clients and projects at Holistic and Holistic Insight.

Q: What are your tips for attending UKREiiF?

Use the event programme wisely. There’s a lot going on, so pinpoint the sessions that align with your areas of interest and work priorities ahead of time. Before the conference, reach out to contacts and prospects to tell them you’re attending and find opportunities to meet up.  Some of the best conversations are those that happen by chance, so make time for these too. Lastly, enjoy it – property is a people business and there’s bound to be some fun along the way!
